Penny Shopping

Have you heard the great news? So beginning this weekend the retailer store "JCPenny" will launch its new campaign Sunday offering certain items in its private label collections for just 1 cent. YES! That’s right, you're eyes are not fooling you. Beginning this Sunday, you can shop around in this retailer store and find items for one penny. 
The new campaign focuses specifically on Penney's private brands, which have already been helping drive sales. Penney reported fourth-quarter earnings Friday that showed its new turnaround strategy under CEO Marvin Ellison is resonating with customers, including its private brands and Sephora stores that sell products within Penney. The "Penney Days" promotion, which starts Sunday and lasts all week, will offer customers an Arizona-branded item at full-price and a second Arizona item for a penny. Penney will continue to roll out other items for a penny throughout the year.
Customers online and in stores will be able to buy a regular priced Arizona brand apparel or accessory item and purchase another Arizona apparel or accessory item for just one penny.

JCPenney said they hope this sale makes them more popular amongst moms.

“We want to be the shopping mecca for the modern American mom, which means we need to dimensionalize the idea of worth. We know our customers live very busy lives and we want every trip and interaction at JCPenney to be worth her time, her hard earned money and her effort,” said Mary Beth West, chief customer and marketing officer for JCPenney

New York Fashion week is on an all time high this year. With a splash of new fashion trends and celebrities that are catching the attention of many with the creative styles, one can wonder how is this possible to fit all this Fashion Business all in one week. With so much that went down all in one week, whether it was Kanye West debuting his Yeezy 3 edition or Erykah Badu making her styling debut. This 2K16 Spring Show was definitely one for the books. Musician, Mogul, and Voice coach on NBC 4 hit show "The Voice",  Pharrell Williams has taken a quick break from the music industry to focus in on fashion for 2016. G-Star Raw just announced that Williams is now a co-owner of the jeans brand.
Williams has been working with G-Star for the past two years as part of a collab with Williams's company Bionic Yarn on "RAW for the Oceans," The “RAW for the Oceans line” includes a range of denim products that, are woven with some nine tons of ocean plastic inside-which transforms recycled ocean plastic into denim.

Now, that Bionic Yarn eco-friendly denim initiative will continue and expand. As co-owner, Williams will also be involved in everything at G-Star from collections to advertising and business strategy.

Congrats are in order for Pharrell!

Well… the weekend is here and I am so excited not only because it's Friday but because it's FASHION Friday. So one may ask what is Fashion Friday ?
