Raw for Oceans*

 
Musician, Mogul, and Voice coach on NBC 4 hit show "The Voice",  Pharrell Williams has taken a quick break from the music industry to focus in on fashion for 2016. G-Star Raw just announced that Williams is now a co-owner of the jeans brand.
Williams has been working with G-Star for the past two years as part of a collab with Williams's company Bionic Yarn on "RAW for the Oceans," The “RAW for the Oceans line” includes a range of denim products that, are woven with some nine tons of ocean plastic inside-which transforms recycled ocean plastic into denim.
Now, that Bionic Yarn eco-friendly denim initiative will continue and expand. As co-owner, Williams will also be involved in everything at G-Star from collections to advertising and business strategy.
Congrats are in order for Pharrell!

    Great initiatives, now when stars are involved in such causes, best believe that the jeans may be expensive, i'll be happy to check it out and contribute if they have my taste both in style and price

    Wow! What a move to make! I hope more brands do this. Who knew plastic could be fashionable.
